This amaro style old fashioned is complex and herbal. The fresh orange oil on the top of the drink is bright on the nose in contrast to the moody tones of this drink. The drink overall is dry with a nice spicy finish thanks to the rye and our own Noir bitters.
Ingredients
2 oz Amaro Montenegro
1 oz Rye Whiskey
1 dash Remedy Cocktail Company Noir Bitters
1 Orange Twist
Garnish:
Luxardo Cherry
Instructions
Stir amaro Montenegro, Rye, and bitters with ice. Strain over fresh ice, large cube preferred. Express orange twist on top of drink and discard before garnishing with luxardo cherry.
